[Maria 00:04] When one woman has a baby in my family, it's like an entire list of people that surround her. In the US, I live by myself with my husband in New York City, and everybody else is far, far away from where I am right now. When my mother was in Nicaragua, doctors will come to you. This is the closest you can get to that experience.

[Maria 00:25]  Maven comes to your home, 100%. Like the entire team comes to your home through the video, and that's huge. So I would say me Maven is like the foundation of my village. I was 34 weeks pregnant, for the first time, when Maven was introduced at my company. I honestly felt that my company was telling me, "It is okay for you to have a baby." The fact that you can just simply log in and see your friendly face and like discuss everything that's going on with you and then get resolution for whatever problem you have is like a godsend.

[Maria 00:58] Ann is my Care Advocate, and I had no idea that one deserved one. You know, when you are in your most tender moment you think you're all by yourself doing everything on your own and here comes Ann, she's like, "Not only am I your Care Advocate, I have an entire team to help you through your pregnancy and your postpartum." She was very upfront with two things: she was upfront with helping me understand how Maven was going to help me, but she was super welcoming to say, "I want to understand who you are and what you need, and I will align everything that we can offer to those needs."

[Maria 01:33] Coming into the postpartum, the first challenge that I faced was breastfeeding. Four weeks into it, I got mastitis. I was like, "Ann, 911. I just had my baby and I have mastitis." And Ann immediately got on and is like, "Okay, let me get you a lactation consultant. But also let me get you a list of services that I think might help you."

[Maria 01:53] My husband knows Maria's surviving by using a doula, by using mom, and by using Maven.

[Stanley 01:58] When Maria goes back to work, I'm going to be here for three months and knowing how much it's helped Maria and the support it's given her, I'm absolutely going to use Maven.

[Maria 02:08] What's showing up for me right now is four months of being with baby for the first time can be great but they also can be extremely draining. I can start using Maven for my mental health care, but also for my relationship with my husband and start putting something back into me. Maven takes care of my entire holistic body and mind and I love that.

I met with a mental health counselor during a traumatic crisis. She heard me, affirmed me and gave me direction as to what to look for in an in-person provider.

Partner track

The support of non-birthing parents has been shown to improve birth outcomes and child development.1 Maven offers dedicated partner tracks for non-birthing parents within the pregnancy and postpartum programs.

This experience helps the partner better understand the needs of the birthing parent throughout the pregnancy, delivery and postpartum stages.

Partners can enroll in Maven at any point during the pregnancy. Like the birthing parent, their program participation ends three months after the baby is born.
